How It all Started
Feeling drawn to the Raleigh Durham region and being accepted into a chaplaincy program in the area, they decided to relocate through much prayer and final confirmation, believing this was the place God would have them begin their ministry. In the fall of 2019, John and Rachel, and their three children picked up everything and moved to the Raleigh Durham region. It would become evident that God's timing is always perfect!
No sooner than relocating and getting adjusted to their move, the whole world would completely shut down, and life would change forever. Shortly after the pandemic began, a family member jokingly suggested they come together, just a handful of them, and John could bring a word, and we could have “church.” That following Sunday, John woke up with something to say. He created a zoom link, invited a few family members, and “Sunday Devotionals with John and Rachel" has continued ever since.
What started as a weekly meeting for a few family members to stay encouraged and uplifted during the pandemic organically blossomed into a steady growing audience meeting virtually every Sunday, whose goal has simply been to grow in grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ! There was always the thought of starting the ministry they believed God intended; they just had no idea it would be so soon. It became clear that the ministry was starting right in their living room, in front of a computer. John and Rachel realized that this was the start of “The LifeHouse”!
